'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Season 3 Release Date, News: Titus Channels Beyoncé in New Teaser

"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 3 is officially releasing in May, and Titus Andromedon (Tituss Burgess) channeled Beyoncé in all her "Lemonade" glory in the teaser that came along with the announcement.

The teaser trailer, released by Netflix via YouTube, lasts roughly 40 seconds and features Titus paying homage to the Queen of the Beyhive. Donning a yellow dress similar to the one Beyoncé rocked for her "Hold Up" music video, Titus takes to the streets wielding a baseball bat.

Smiling, he sings a tune dedicated to his boyfriend, Mikey Politano (Mike Carlsen). Judging by the video, it looks like things are not all smooth sailing between the two of them as Titus swings his bat - breaking a fire hydrant, followed by the window of Mikey's truck, just like Beyoncé did. Mikey runs to the scene of the crime and shouts at the perpetrator. By the way Mikey is dressed, it looks like he's at work and Titus' appearance has caught him off guard.

Ellie Kemper, who plays the titular Kimmy Schmidt, previously told TVLine that the upcoming season will have a more musical feel to it. "There's more singing," the actress teased in September. And if the teaser trailer is any indication, season 3 is going to be a wildly entertaining installment.

As for her character, it was revealed in the season 2 finale that Kimmy is actually married to the Reverend (Jon Hamm), opening a topic of discussion for season 3. The previous season also saw Kimmy reuniting with her mother, Lori-Ann (Lisa Kudrow). Jane Krakowski's Jacqueline, on the other hand, found out that Russ's (David Cross) family owns the Washington Redskins.

According to Krakowski, the turn of events featured in the finale really opens up an opportunity to explore the characters more. "I actually wrote Robert Carlock after watching Episode 13, and I was like, 'Wow, now I feel like we can go to a whole 'nother place in Season 3,'" she told The Huffington Post in June. "They brought us to another depth where all the characters can go."

"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 3 will be released on May 19 on Netflix.
