'Uncharted 4' DLC Release Date, News Details: Naughty Dog Holds Twitch Presentation, Introduces New Multiplayer DLC

Naughty Dog's action-adventure game, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," is getting a free downloadable content expansion on Friday, March 17. And to demonstrate and introduce all the new features that come with the update, it recently held a Twitch presentation for it.

The Twitch presentation, which can be seen on NaughtyDog's channel, included a live gameplay stream, an open forum and featured SanchoWest as a special guest.

The March 17 drop includes a new game mode called "King of the Hill," several vanity items and three new weapons.

The update is another part of the game's multiplayer roadmap, which has already introduced a number of modes, locations, and other items since "Unchartered 4" was launched last year.

Naughty Dog game designer Robert Cogburn previously shared that their free multiplayer DLCs are done to keep the multiplayer mode of "Uncharted 4" lively and thriving. "We are confident it will have a hugely positive impact," he said.

Naughty Dog also reminded fans that the Spring DLC for "Uncharted 4" is still coming. The Spring DLC is currently pegged as the game's last multiplayer content expansion, and it is unknown if the developer will have more plans for game support after this.

The developers issued their multiplayer roadmap last year before the game was officially released. This included four updates, which started during the summer of 2016, and will end by spring of 2017.

Most of the packages offer new skins, boosters, and other vanity items on top of maps and other new weapons.

Released last May 10, 2016, "Uncharted 4" remains a PlayStation 4-exclusive game up to this day. Players assume the character of Nathan Drake, an adventurer who is basically the main character throughout the franchise.

Despite being a PS4-exclusive game, "Uncharted 4" has been well-received due to its good graphics, stunning art direction, and excellent dialogues. It won the Game of the Year award during this year's New York Videogame Awards. It also won Best Visuals during IGN's Best of 2016 Awards.
