'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' DLC: Character Art Teasers Reveal Game Series' New Antagonist

The standalone downloadable content (DLC) of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is coming out sometime this year, and character teasers have begun pouring in as early as now.

In a series of tweets posted last Sunday, March 19, on his official Twitter account, writer and creative director Shaun Escayg shared three new character arts for the upcoming DLC "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy."

Escayg began the series off with a close-up image of Nadine Ross, the South African mercenary and former leader of the paramilitary organization Shoreline. She served as the secondary antagonist on "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," until she left her former associate, Rafe, the title's main antagonist, on a burning ship in the mythical pirate colony of Libertalia.

In the "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" DLC, Nadine will be one of the two main protagonists who set out to find the mystical artifact known as the Tusk of Ganesha, in order to keep it away from the grimy hands of the title's main protagonist, Asav.

Asav was featured in Escayg's second tweet. He is an Indian rebel leader who has once worked for the Indian government and was previously acquainted with the mercenary, Nadine. Obie Award-winning actor, Usman Ally will be providing Asav's voice, while Laura Bailey, who did Nadine's voice motion capture in "Uncharted 4" will be reprising her role in the upcoming DLC.

The third character art shared by Escayg featured fan-favorite character and the title's main protagonist, Chloe, who was first introduced in "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" and was last seen in its sequel, "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception." In the upcoming standalone expansion, she will be approaching Nadine for help in hunting for the fabled Tusk of Ganesha in India.

The two of them will have to learn to work together in a fight for survival as they gradually uncover the secrets and mysteries of the artifact, while also taking all possible measures to keep the region from falling into chaos. Additionally, the playable character, Chloe, will reportedly be able to equip herself with silence weapons in order to snipe out enemies from a distance.

According to GameSpot, "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" will come with access to the "Uncharted 4's" multiplayer and survival modes. Game developer Naughty Dog may have also hinted at the possibility that this will be the last title in the "Uncharted" series.

The DLC is expected to be released for PlayStation 4 later this year. In the meantime, here's the official announcement trailer for "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" that was previewed during the PlayStation Experience (PSX) event last year.

Players who will avail of the either the "Uncharted 4" Digital Deluxe Edition or its Explorer's Pack by Dec. 13 can get the upcoming DLC for free.
