'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' News: Franchise's 'Largest Level' To Be Included in the Story Add-On
'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy's' 'largest level' is also being designed to provide players with a 'true sense of exploration'
"Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" is aiming to provide fans of the series with a different type of experience, one that they may not have seen before while playing through the earlier games, and one of the ways it could do that is by giving them access to an enormous, new level.
The latest issue of Game Informer delves deep into the development of this new story-based add-on, and it also features some interesting comments from the developers.
A new article from Gamespot contains some of the more noteworthy revelations that were published in the Game Informer piece, such as the ones from designer James Cooper.
According to Cooper, "The Lost Legacy" will feature "the single largest level" that's ever been made for the franchise, adding that it is geographically bigger than the Madagascar setting that is included in "Uncharted 4."
The level in question appears to be situated in the Western Ghats. And aside from being massive, this new location may also encourage players to tackle it in a different way.
As director Kurt Margenau also shared, the Western Ghats will also provide players with a "true sense of exploration." Furthermore, this new level has also been designed in a way that players aren't being led along any specific path, and that could mean that players will be able to make their way through this particular location in different ways.
Once released, the new story add-on will put players in control of Chloe Frazer, and she will be joined by Nadine Ross. Chloe and Nadine will travel through various locations in the mountains of India as they look for any trace of a legendary artifact, according to the add-on's official website.
An exact release date for "Uncharted: The Lost Legacy" has not been announced just yet, though fans can expect it to be made available at some point later this year.
