'Until Dawn: Rush of Blood' Release Date & Update: Spin-off Confirmed, To Arrive in PlayStation VR
It hasn't been long yet since Supermassive Games and Sony released the interactive drama survival horror video game "Until Dawn." But as it happened, the game is getting a new spin-off version. According to Game Rant, the developer team officially unveiled the "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood" during the Paris Games week.
The source stated that when rumors about the title surfaced, Supermassive was quick to dismiss the hearsays. But as it turned out, the rumors were true. And now, everything has gone official and fans can expect a version of the game that will really bring their gaming experience to a higher level since reports say that it's going to be an on-rails virtual reality shooter experience.
Supermassive Games executive producer Simon Harris also described the game on the PlayStation Blog. He said, "'Until Dawn: Rush of Blood' is a descent into madness, taking you on a terrifying rollercoaster ride of thrills and scares in a fast-paced, arcade-style shooter."

As detailed by Entertainment Weekly, "Until Dawn" is going to go beyond PlayStation 4 and push players even further into the horror experience with the help of the PlayStation VR, which is Sony's virtual reality headset that is set to arrive for the PlayStation 4 next year. The game will also be exclusively available only on the VR platform so it's not going to be played unless the headset is present.
In the released announcement trailer, it showed that the Butterfly Effect System will make an appearance to the upcoming game. This segment of the game will entail the players to make decisions that will have "rippling consequences" on the rest of the game. The game will also be set in Blackwood Pines which was already introduced back in the original "Until Dawn." But the VR version of the game will be concentrating more on shooting.
There's no word yet on when "Until Dawn: Rush of Blood" will be released but as noted in Engadget, PlayStation Head of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida promises that the horror make its way everywhere once it releases.
