ZTE Nubia Z9 Release Date, Specs News: Upcoming Android Smartphone Could Be Most Powerful Chinese-Made Mobile Yet
A lot of Chinese Android fans and tech enthusiasts were expecting ZTE to unveil its latest flagship during the Mobile World Congress last week. Unfortunately, that did not happen, although there are recent reports pointing to an announcement later this month.
According to a report by Phone Arena, a "stunning" ZTE Nubia Z9 will be unveiled in a press launch on March 26.
Based on previous rumors and speculations, the Nubia Z9 will be a high-end device, boasting a 5.5-inch or larger display, but surely with a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution screen.
The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 chipset that runs on eight cores and supports 64-bit applications.
The Chinese brand has recently provided a teaser image for the event that may possible be set in China. It does confirm the "9" branding, but apart from that the image does not give any hints or clues regarding design features and other specs.
To make things even more interesting, the teaser image actually looks like it came from Apple. The colored number with a simple white background is reminiscent to the Cupertino manufacturer's previous teaser images.
In the report, while there are no updates yet about the phone's pricing and availability yet, the ZTE Nubia Z9 will most likely hit Chinese stores first, and then probably move overseas in the coming months.
