Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2015: Unannounced 'Oslo' Surfaces Online, Packs Identical Specs as Blackberry Passport
Last year, Blackberry rose from the ashes and launched several interesting devices, including the retro-looking Blackberry Classic, and the revolutionary Blackberry Passport.
Both devices feature a touch and type functionality, which appear to be popular in the enterprise market. As a result, the Passport became trendy in markets where it was made available.
However, Blackberry may be expecting too much from the Passport.
According to a report by GSM Arena, an unannounced Blackberry smartphone has made the rounds in the rumor mill. Dubbed as the Blackberry Oslo, the mobile phone is reportedly identical to the Passport in terms of specs. Those specs include the square 4.5-inch screen with 1440 x 1440 resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and a 13MP primary camera.
Other specs include a 3,450mAh battery, Blackberry 10.3.2 OS, and a metal chassis. Of course, the device will have the ever-popular QWERTY keypad below the screen.
However, the main differences of the Oslo from the Passport, is that it is developed especially for EMEA and APAC markets.
In the report, the Oslo, which is basically a rebranded Blackberry Passport, will be an exclusive for AT&T in the U.S.
Aside from the Blackberry Oslo, the Canada-based manufacturer will reportedly release another high-end device later this year, accompanied by another midranger.
