Upcoming Samsung Phones 2015: Meet This Super Affordable Android Handset From Samsung
The Samsung Galaxy J1 was first announced back in January and was made available to the Asian market earlier this year. However, there were no immediate updates from Samsung in the weeks after the event.
Fortunately, after two months, the new Galaxy J1 is officially unveiled and will soon hit stores in European markets.
According to the report by GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy J1 will first become available in the Netherlands and Germany.
The Android-powered handset will be priced at 120 euros in the Netherlands, while it will be slightly more expensive at 135 euros in Germany.
So what does the Galaxy J1 offer for such an affordable price tag?
The Korean manufacturer's entry-level handset comes with really low-end specs such as the 4.3-inch display with WVGA (800 x 480) resolution.
Other entry-level features include a dual-core Cortex-A7 chipset that runs at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of built-in memory.
There is also a 5MP primary shooter at the back, while a decent 2MP camera graces the front panel. The Samsung Galaxy J1 runs on Samsung's TouchWiz UI over Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
For users who cannot get enough of a single phone number, the Android-powered device also supports dual-SIM compatibility.
In previous reports, the Korean tech giant has recently tipped a 4G LTE version for the Galaxy J1. Unfortunately, details for that particular version are not yet available.
