'UQ Holder!' Episode 5 Spoilers: Tota to Wield Forbidden Magic Technique Against the Immortal Hunters?
Things quickly took a turn for the worse for Tota Konoe and Kuromaru Tokisaka on the Japanese action-fantasy anime series, "UQ Holder! Mahou Sensei Negima! 2." Can the new recruits, and their guardian, Karin Yuuki, survive their first mission together against three sly and powerful immortal hunters?
Following his official recruitment into UQ Holder, Tota was sent on his first assignment together with Kuromaru and their upperclassman, Karin. They were to protect a slum being threatened by immortal hunters who seek to rid the world of any signs of poverty by ending the lives of the poor.
While there, Tota met a martial artist named Kaito, who taught him some techniques on how to improve his flash steps; that is, moving through space and covering great distances in an instant by concentrating magic power into the feet.
Little did Tota know that this very man was actually a member of the immortal hunters that they were sent there to defeat. In the end, the man who could've been his mentor cast a Crucifixion Coffin Seal on him to keep him from coming back to life, as immortals like him are wont to do.
And now, the slum that they were supposed to protect is on fire, Kuromaru is being beaten into a pulp by Kaito, and Karin has also been subdued by the shadow manipulator, Xingzi Chao. Is there still hope of turning this mission around and betting on the good guys to succeed eventually?
The title for the next episode teases a possible way. "Magia Erebea" is a term that readers of the source manga by Ken Akamatsu, as well as fans of the previous "Negima" series, may be familiar with. And this being the title of the next episode can only mean that this forbidden magic technique created by Yukihime herself, will finally be awakened in Tota.
But how exactly will the Magia Erebea help revive Tota, and thus, turn the tables on the immortal hunters? And by the end of it all, will they still be able to save the slum and its people from annihilation?
"UQ Holder! Mahou Sensei Negima! 2" airs on Mondays at midnight JST on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11.
