USA vs Belgium Live Stream: Watch International Friendly Football Online Free
The United States faces Belgium during an international friendly on Wednesday night in what will be the first of five international games. They will play over the next three weeks in preparation for World Cup qualifying, which is resuming in July.
The match will take place at First Energy Stadium in Cleveland, but the U.S. will face a strong Belgian side as many of their top players unavailable for selection.
U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann will have to deal the absence of midfielder Michael Bradley, who recently competed in the Coppa Italia. Klinsmann also left out record goal-scorer Landon Donovan from the squad after he recently returned to the Los Angeles Galaxy from spending a short time away from football.
The U.S. is also not playing cohesive football and has struggled to earn results in their previous five matches, having won only once. Of their previous five matches, three have been draws and odds are that the U.S. will play a compact, defensive-minded game, but it is uncertain if the side can withstand the attacking prowess of the Belgians.
Marc Wilmots' squad is packed with many of Europe's most talented players and will most likely prove to be too experienced and talented for the Americans to overcome.
The Red Devils also have a positive record heading into the match, having beaten the U.S. in each of the pair's last three meetings.
Given the fact that the U.S. will not have Donovan, the side will look to Clint Dempsey to offer some of the team's offensive chances. Dempsey has proven effective to the team in the offensive third, having scored 6 of the team's last 13 goals.
Still, with a depleted midfield and few other attacking options other than Dempsey, the backline of the U.S. will be under constant pressure and any mistakes will prove costly.
Kick-off for the match is at 8:00 p.m. ET and can be watched online here.
