'Veep' Season 6: Ex-President Selina Meyer Tries to Work on Her Legacy

Now that her gig at the White House is over, Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is on the verge of doing everything she can to make people believe she left a good legacy as the first woman president of the country.

HBO picked a highly appropriate time to release the latest trailer of "Veep" season 6, and it was made available for viewing on Presidents' Day. In the 33-second video teaser, fans saw that Selina is still in the field working, even after she is back to being an ordinary citizen.

It can be recalled that  in season 5, Selina was not yet ready to leave the White House. She was hoping to be re-elected. However, she lost to rival Laura Montez (Andrea Savage) in an unparalleled electoral tie.

The teaser for the next premiere of HBO's political satire series starts off with Selina doing an interview. Probably asked how she is doing after being the country's commander-in-chief, she likened her current political status as ex-president to "being a man's nipple" and then compared it to a man's sexual activity.

It also looks like Selina is starting to deal with the reality that she is no longer the POTUS, but she has no plans of staying away from politics anytime soon. Judging from the latest "Veep" season 6 trailer, Selina seems to still be on the move to make her legacy look good and probably hoping for another shot at the presidency.

In one scene from the trailer, she can be seen telling her companions about her propaganda plan. She then shared her ideal news headline about that and it goes, "Selina Meyer travels the globe, spreading democracy like patient zero." In the field of medicine, patient zero is used to refer to the person who first caught a communicable disease that later on led to an epidemic outbreak.

Making matters funnier than it is, Selina is also seen demanding what she thinks is the appropriate payment for her services, noting that she was the first female president. Added to that, she tells her agent that she is willing to "stand at a glass podium and will wear a short skirt."

"Veep" returns on HBO on Sunday, April 16, at 10:30 p.m. ET.
