Vernee Apollo Smartphone to Release in April with 6 GB of RAM
New Chinese smartphone company Vernee may have just started in February but they have already launched their first smartphone and it's called as the Apollo. According to Softpedia, the device will be made available in China by April. Unfortunately, there is no word yet if it will be released to other countries, although there's a small chance that it would be.
One detail that is grabbing the attention of the public is the device's RAM count which is 6 GB. It's said to be the second device to carry the biggest count with the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite as the first one. Aside from that, the Vernee Apollo is said to feature a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen with Quad HD and 2560x1440 pixels resolution. It is also speculated to feature 3D Touch support.
Android Headlines reported also that the Apollo will be equipped with Mediatek's powerful Helio X20 processor along with a Mali-T880 graphics processing unit. For its memory storage, it's noted that the handset may not have a microSD card slot. But it's said to carry 128 GB of storage, which is already enough even for heavy users. Phone Arena detailed that a 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 rear camera with dual-tone flash is also said to be included, along with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. It's also said to feature a fingerprint scanner located at the back.
It will be pre-installed with Android Marshmallow out of the box and will come with a Type-C USB port. There will be no capacitive button and it's not indicated yet how much the battery capacity will be. Moreover, the device is said to provide support for both dual-SIM and 4G LTE. For its connectivity options, it features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with AGPS.
For those who are interested, the device will cost $400, which is a price lower compared to the Vivo Xplay 5 Elite.
