'Vikings' Season 4 News, Update: Bjorn Is Hell-Bent on Killing Rollo
The fourth season of History Channel's hit sword and shield drama series "Vikings" may find Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) taking charge of the whole Viking forces while the king and his father recuperate from the first siege at Season 3.
With the younger Lothbrok taking the mantle, this could mean bad news of Clive Standen's Rollo.
For most part of the show, Bjorn and Rollo shared a close relationship that could somehow rival that of Ragnar and his son's. Fans even feared back in Season 3 that the warrior son of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) might ditch his father for his uncle. But this familial link will soon be severed when Season 4 sails back to the small screen.
Ludwig, who recently sat down with Zap2it, admitted (via Enstarz.com) that he has yet to get his hands on the script and still has no idea as to what would happen. However, he is more than affirmative in his statement that the younger and stronger prince will definitely go toe-to-toe with Ragnar's brother.
"He's so hurt and he's going to kill him. In his eyes, there's certain things you can't forgive," he told the media outlet (via Enstars).
The 23-year-old Canadian actor went on to specify Rollo's mortal sin to the Vikings which is turning his back on his king and from the entire community to better serve his own interests.
"...there's no coming back from that," the "Hunger Games" star said (via Zap2It). "Bjorn is so straight-edge in that when he makes a decision, he sticks to it."
For those who missed it, Season 3 left with the notion that Rollo is already assimilating himself with the French when he accepted the offers of Emperor Charles (played by Lothaire Bluteau), which includes the hand of Princess Gisla (Morgane Polanski) as well as lands and titles.
