'Vikings' Season 4 Release Date: Betrayal For Ragnar
A teaser for the upcoming episode of "Vikings" reveals that Ragnar will be betrayed.
After the explosive finale of "Vikings" season 3, fans have been waiting for the return of the series. With that, fans can soon see their favorite characters once again. It was reported that actors Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winick, and Alexander Ludwig will be reprising their roles as Ragnar, Lagertha, and Bjorn, respectively.
As reported by TV Line, the upcoming season was given an additional four episodes to complete the season, making it 20 episodes in total. However, it was reported that the season will be separated into two parts, putting a break after the 10th episode.

A teaser for the upcoming episode was revealed, featuring several actors of the series in a photo that was inspired by the Last Supper. Ragnar was shown as Jesus, being surrounded by his friends, families, and enemies. The image gave the hint that a character will be betraying Ragnar in the upcoming season of the series.
With that, drama can be expected for the upcoming season of "Vikings." There were even rumors that the fourth season of "Vikings" will see the death of Ragnar. This was due to a comment that the creator of the series, Michael Hirst, during the San Diego Comic-Con, which revealed that he had begun thinking of a world without Ragnar.
According to Hollywood Reporter, he stated, "I thought it was very important when I started thinking about this whole thing that Ragnar had many sons and some of his sons became more famous than he was. So I can perfectly well envision a world without Ragnar and further adventures for the sons. Absolutely. That's something I really, really want to do."
Because of this, fans can expect that the season will be making way for Ragnar's sons to join the spotlight.
"Vikings" season 4 will premiere on History Channel on Feb. 18.
