Viral Basketball Video Shows Scary Flagrant Fouls (VIDEO)

A viral video of a high school basketball game gone awry in flagrant fouls has taken the sports world by storm as viewers are expressing backlash toward one of the students involved in particular.

The game, between Connell and Highland (Wash.), became a war-zone after Connell began hacking their opposition, most notably their 17-year-old who was dishing the pain, senior Cole Vanderbilt.

Vanderbilt was the main culprit of the vicious fouls and now according to commenters, he is one of the most hated players in sports calling him "the dirtiest player" in America.

The description for the video on YouTube states, "Connell basketball players acting like they're on the football field. The referees allowed these fouls to occur the entire game," it continues. "Not a single technical, intentional/flagrant foul was ever called. The W.I.A.A. needs to take a closer look at this before a player suffers a serious injury. Each foul is replayed (in order) at different speeds multiple times for closer review. The video speaks for itself..."

While fellow teammate Kennan VanHollebeke added a few rough moves, it was not with the frequency and the strength that Vanderbilt possessed.

The Tri-City Herald reported that the game was being filmed by Michael Chrisrtendon in order to show how terrible the officiating is. Now, they got their wish.

"[Cole Vanderbilt] a tough kid, but those that know him know he's a teddy bear," said Connell, the coach Oscar Garza stole. "My 7-year-old son loves him and lights up when he's around. But on (YouTube) he's the world's meanest, ugliest kid. It's not fair, but I just want him to know his teammates and coaches are behind him."

According to Yahoo, they feel the fouls were purposely executed because of their aggressive physicality and the smirks and attitude of Vanderbilt after they fouled the players.

In each instance he takes a late swipe at the player and not the ball. Comments on the video have been removed due to the increasingly loud and filthy language being pointed toward the senior.
