Viral Chewbacca Mom Has a Laugh-Off with 'Star Wars' Director J.J. Abrams
The woman from the viral Chewbacca video, Candace Payne, made her way onto another entertaining video.
Social media users recently got a laugh out of Payne's video when she showed her excitement about her latest find. Payne posted a video of herself in her car after making an exciting purchase. She revealed a Chewbacca mask with audio, all while laughing in her car.
Payne filmed herself wearing the mask while laughing in her car. Her video already reached 140 million views and a significant amount of shares. Her popularity landed her a spot on James Corden's "The Late Late Show." She was seen with in a car with Corden, who she was driving to work.
With that, fans got a chance to hear her laugh once again. In addition, the video revealed J.J. Abrams in the back, joining the two for some laughs. The three of them put on the Chewbacca masks and attempt to beat each other in a laughing contest. Payne also spoke about how she dealt with the fame after her viral video.
She said asper Today, "On Thursday, when I posted it, at 1,000 views, I texted a friend of mine and said, '1,000 flippin' views!' You know? I was so excited ... And then, before I went to bed that night, it was 1 million. And so I had a status update that said, '1 million!!!!' You know? I was, like, freaking out. And then I went to bed and I woke up and it was, like, 20-something million, and I, like, had to breathe."
She said that it was an honor to have that many views for one video. She explained, "You know, I'm quite unathletic. So I feel like if I broke a record, I need a medal or something. Or at least I need to, like, sing 'We Are the Champions' everywhere that I go."
