Vivo X20 Specs, Release Date: Leaked Retail Box Reveals New Audio Feature and More

Just days before the release of the Vivo X20, the much-awaited handset's specs sheet was leaked online via a brand-new image showing its retail box.

Much of the device's makings are no longer secret and this leak out of Weibo confirms them, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor that will be powering the whole thing.

The Vivo X20 will also come with a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, which means that it will come with a tall display and smaller to nonexistent bezels.

This very same display will apparently boast 2K resolution, which GSM Arena believes is actually quad high-definition (HD), pretty high-end for a midranger.

The leak also makes mention of the use of the high fidelity (Hi-Fi) audio chip AK4376A, which is expected to offer excellent listening and recording experience in the Vivo X20, something that the Chinese tech firm has put a lot of effort into in the past few years.

In fact, Vivo's hard work led to it being hailed the first brand in the world to introduce high-fidelity sound quality function in smartphones and it looks like it is bound to continue to improve in this department with the Vivo X20.

The retail box also references the Face Wake, a new feature that the company will debut in the handset. There is no word yet on what it will be all about though.

Other specs of the Vivo X20 provided by the rumor mills include 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM), 64 GB of storage and a dual camera setup on the back that includes a 24 MP sensor. The front-facing snapper will have 24 MP as well.

The Vivo X20 will reportedly keep the lights on for long hours of usage with a huge 3,500 mAh battery. When it is unveiled on Sept. 21, one of the variants to look out for is the all-black Mars Edition.
