Vivo X6 Teaser Released Features 4 GB of RAM, Rumored to Include 1 GB of VRAM
Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has been quiet for some time but it is now making some noise as they continue their teaser campaign for their upcoming flagship device dubbed as the Vivo X6. According to GSM Arena, the company has released a teaser animation confirming that the follow up device of Vivo X5 will be equipped with a whopping 4GB of RAM.
It showed that with a bigger RAM count, the upcoming smartphone will be able to accommodate more apps and boost multitasking performance. But rumors circulating around say that the higher RAM is not the only highlight feature that Vivo is adding to its X6.
Android Geeks reported that the tech company is planning to be the first one to market a smartphone with 1 GB of dedicated video RAM, which is similar to that of the VRAM found on PC GPUs. If it pushes thru, the X6 will be a winner in terms of graphic performance.
Not much has been revealed regarding the specifications and details of the device but by the looks of the teaser image, Android Authority noted that the Vivo is going to place the X6 into the premium tier of the market. The source also cited that there may still be a few "more surprises" in store and a mention about the device being "fast enough."
And while Vivo is careful not to reveal too much, leaked images of the X6 provided a glimpse of how the device might look like. First of all, it looks like it's going to be slim handset. The back panel is shown to be made out of one solid piece of metal and there are at least five color options to choose from including silver, pink, grey, black and gold.
Android Headlines also indicated that the smartphone may have a 5.2 or 5.5-inch display. Under its hood will be a MediaTek deca-core Helio X20 SoC, which features 10 CPU cores organized in three groups with different performance and energy targets. A Mali-T880 GPU is also said to be included along with Android Lollipop which will come on top of Vivo's Funtouch OS.
Other rumored specs include 21-megapixel camera and 4000 mAh battery, as reported in Mobile Burn.
