Wagoner Jail Escape: Two Inmates Lock Jailer in Cell, Steal Keys, in Dramatic Escape (VIDEO)
A Wagoner jail escape has seen two inmates overpower a jail guard and escape on Monday night, according to Sheriff Bob Colbert, in what appears to be a well-planned and organized escape.
The two inmates who escaped are Larry Cotton, 35, and Mickey Staggs, 38. They managed to escape at about 9 p.m. local time on Monday, Colbert has confirmed.
The pair grabbed hold of a jail guard, took his keys, and locked him inside the cell, authorities have reported.

Colbert said, "The jailer is OK. He had minor injuries."
Staggs and Cotton are well-known to authorities in Wagoner County, and have reportedly had numerous run-ins with the law.
Cotton was in jail after being charged in May with a list of crimes, including possessing a firearm after a felony conviction, endangering others while attempting to elude a police officer, possessing a stolen vehicle, knowingly concealing stolen property, three counts of running a roadblock, and driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license.
Meanwhile, Staggs was in jail after being charged in April with possessing a firearm after a felony conviction or during probation, possessing a firearm while in the commission of a felony, possessing a stolen vehicle and driving under revocation.
Anyone noticing the escaped men should not approach them but should contact authorities.
Authorities describe Cotton as a black male, 6 feet tall and about 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Staggs, meanwhile, is described as a white male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
