Walmart Black Friday 2011: Some of Walmart's 'Sales' Also Available at Amazon

Checking out Walmart's Black Friday specials on Amazon first could save Thanksgiving

Walmart Black Friday deals are among the most hotly anticipated in the country as millions of shoppers clamor over the retail giant's ad to see what they should wait in line for at 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving night. However, some deals are available on Amazon right now for the same price, so which products should be checked on Amazon from the comfort of one's home before waiting in line outside of Walmart?

On the front page of Walmart's Black Friday ad is Amazon's Kindle Fire, which the store will be selling for $199. However, the Kindle Fire is also available at Amazon for the exact same price (and possibly lower, depending on the sales tax in certain states).

In addition, the Amazon Kindle is featured in the Walmart Black Friday ad for $79, which s the same price that Amazon has been selling it popular e-reader for several months now. For shoppers looking for either a Kindle Fire or a Kindle, it is definitely a better bet to get it straight from Amazon.

There are some Black Friday deals that Walmart is offering which beat Amazon's current specials. The first is the Samsung Galaxy Prevail for Boost, which will be available at Walmart for $69.99. That beats out Amazon's special discount price of $129.99. For people looking to get their hands on one of the hottest phones available today, a wait outside a Walmart might be worth the hassle.

However, there are some Black Friday deals at Walmart that are just slightly more expensive than Amazon, which makes the worthiness of enduring the madness on one of the busiest shopping day of the year, such as the Fujifilm FinePix S3280 Long Zoom Digital Camera.

Walmart will be selling the Fujifilm FinePix S3280 Long Zoom Digital Camera for $159 on Black Friday. Amazon currently sells it for $195. The difference of $36 is not huge, but can be significant in these tough, economic times.

Herein lies the problem: many of Walmart's Black Friday deals are available on Amazon for a similar price, so it is worth it for shoppers to check out the prices of Walmart's Black Friday items on Amazon before setting out into the night in search of savings. It just might save Thanksgiving dinner.
