Walmart Strips off $100 on IPhone Models Until June
Good news for those who have been wanting to pick up an iPhone but hesitated because of the price tag. Walmart is having a rollback on the prices of some of the most popular smartphones on the market. According to a report by CNN Money, the multinational retail corporation will cut $100 off the price on all Apple iPhones.
Starting now, the promo will last until the end of June and the discount will apply to iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and even to the new iPhone SE, which was released just recently. Not all of the branches of the store will carry the same models though but customers can be assured that the price cut will be applied to all of the latest devices. Another good news is that the price cut is not limited to the Apple products only. Those who are interested in picking up the Samsung Galaxy 6 and 7 can also have a discount of $150.
Customers should be aware though that they can only avail the markdown if they go to the physical store and purchase the device. There will be no available online orders so they will need to personally do the transaction. Also, Walmart has partnered with mobile and network carriers including AT&T (T, Tech30), Verizon (VZ, Tech30) and Sprint (S) to make the sweet deal possible. Unfortunately, T-Mobile has not participated in the promotion. Time also detailed that the discount is not applied at the register. Customers can only get it in the form of a credit in their cellphone bill.
For those who are interested to purchase the iPhone SE, Daily Mail UK detailed that the price normally starts at $399. It has a 4-inch screen with a 12-megapixel camera. The 16 GB is smaller than the iPhone 6 but it takes better photos than the 5S. It's also the cheapest in the iPhone line. The 64 GB model costs $499.
