According to The Telegraph, when "Watch Dogs" was revealed in 2012 at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the games immediately amassed a great number of fans because of the exciting trailer that made it look like the best hacking game there ever was. Although it was not able to live up to the hype by the time the game was released in 2014, a much better sequel followed.

For the uninitiated, "Watch Dogs" follows a character named Aiden Pearce, who became the target of two hitmen after he successfully performed a bank heist from his laptop. The hitmen shot his car, while his niece, Lena, was with him. She went into comatose and died after a couple months. A year later, Aiden is still at it with the hacking but is also investigating into where the hitmen came from. And because of this, he gets himself into even more trouble, facing a much bigger threat.

In terms of sales, "Watch Dogs" did quite well for Ubisoft, according to ComicBook. It sold over 10 million copies, which prompted the video game company to release a sequel in 2016. Its successor, however, featured a different main character and was set in a new location.

Apart from the PC version, the game is also available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
