What fans need to know about 'Sherlock' season 4
"Sherlock" season 4 promises to be darker and more challenging.
Steven Moffat, the showrunner of this hit TV series, teases fans about what to expect on its fourth season, and drops a few hints about major changes that will happen.
During his interview with Entertainment Weekly, the executive producer commits to the BBC show's fans that they are planning to top everything off from its previous season. "And I do think our plan is devastating. We've practically reduced our cast to tears telling them the plan … we're probably more excited that we've ever been about Sherlock," Moffat explained. This crime drama producer also promises that they're going to take the show where it has never been before. He said that the story will take a darker turn, and will be challenging for everyone.
Season 4 will also answer questions about the show and its characters that were never asked before. According to another EW post, Moffat teases that, "There's one thing that no one has really brought up…" However, the producer refused to tell what question it is. Moffat also guarantees that after watching the end of this upcoming season, fans will be begging to have season 5 shown earlier. "We're certainly going to put them through the mill," he added.
This British program stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes, from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. He is joined by Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson, Sherlock's friend and flatmate. Together, the two solve various mysteries that Sherlock is asked to help with.
