What's in Store for Gamers at the Steam Summer Sale?

Steam Annual Summer Sale is on and it brings a whole lot more for gamers who have been waiting for this yearly event. The sale will run from June 11 to 20 at the Steam online store. Steam has something else in store for gamers who are visiting the site to get some good deals on their favorite games.

There are 24 hour deals on offer when one enters the website. Aside from this however, gamers can also get more exclusive deals by joining the Monster Summer game, a role-playing game where one teams up with other gamers to defeat the enemy monsters.

When a team levels up, its players will unlock new abilities and achieve community milestones. While doing this, players can earn Summer Sale trading cards for just playing. When a team defeats monsters and earns achievements, they can also unlock special discounts. The main goal is to craft the Steam Summer Sale 2015 badge, which will grant "additional abilities and rewards in the game."

As the sale progresses, the milestones needed to unlock deals change each day. For day one, 100,000 is needed; next milestone requires 250,000 and then 1,000,000 people who are playing the Monster Game - each milestone unlocks an additional sale each. The total number of clicks reached in the game and the number of bosses defeated are also milestones. So far, the 1 million people playing milestone has been breached, with over 1,900 games ongoing.

Last year's Summer Sale made use of a voting system on sales to have players acquire Summer Sale trading cards.

If one is not interested in joining the game, there are daily deals available which run for 24 hours, and flash deals which are only available for a limited 12 hour period. Deals can be as low as $2 to $5 dollars.

The other piece of good news for gamers using Steam is that this time, they offer refunds for purchases.
