'When Calls the Heart' Season 4 Sees Elizabeth Organize Carnival & Give Hope to New Student Philip

The previous episode of "When Calls the Heart" season 4 centered on the heart-warming story of a new student named Philip Cantrell (Liam Hughes).

In the episode titled "The Heart of the Community," a carnival was set in place to raise funds for the school. Spearheaded by Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), she and the children organized the carnival to raise funds for the purchase of more supplies for the school. This carnival gave Philip a glimmer of hope as it paved the way for him and his distant father, Shane Cantrell (Niall Matter), to draw closer to each other.

Written by Richard Manning and directed by Neill Fearnley, the episode also saw the railroad projects take center stage as Abigail (Lori Loughlin) worked to close a deal with Ray Wyatt (Jeremy Guilbaut). Since the deal was already near completion, the people of Hope Valley already started preparing to welcome an influx of newcomers who will go there to look for work.
