When Is Black Friday 2017? Dates and Information
The biggest shopping day of the year is coming next month.
Black Friday, which comes the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, is a traditional annual event. This year, the much-awaited shopping bonanza falls on Nov. 24.
Although it used to be a holiday exclusive for the U.S., plenty of stores across the world and online will be offering huge deals to millions of shoppers. According to CNET, popular retail giants like Best Buy and Target have already confirmed their participation in the event and will be offering Black Friday deals starting on Nov. 23.
Walmart, on the other hand, has not announced the start of their Black Friday sales, but should they follow last year's schedule, shoppers may get access to deals online from 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 23 and in-store deals starting at 6 p.m.
Other shops and brands that have announced their participation, according to The Sun, include ASOS, Mothercare, Samsung, Acer, Microsoft, Nike, Adidas, Groupon, Disney Store, Reebok, New Look, Currys PC World, Zalando, Harrods, Boots, Tesco, John Lewis, Argos, B&Q, Very, La Redoute, eBay, and of course, Amazon.
Some of these are offering discounts both in their physical and online stores.
It is believed that Amazon could be offering great discounts as early as Nov. 1. If the company follows 2016's schedule, customers could enjoy Black Friday deals the day after Halloween. There will also likely by Prime-exclusive deals for Amazon Prime subscribers.
Shoppers are advised to do their research beforehand on what deals they could grab during Black Friday, and especially, check how much the regular prices of their desired items are.
For those who cannot shop on Black Friday, there will still be Cyber Monday on Nov. 27, which used to be a big online sale event on its own but is now serving as an extension to Black Friday.
