White House Correspondents' Dinner News: Obama Takes on Trump as Reporters Engage in Brawl
On Saturday, the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner took its full swing as President Barack Obama aimed his final arrows at Donald Trump and two reporters raised a brief round of chaos during the afterparty.
According to CNN, the president noticed during his final speech that 2016 presidential hopeful Trump wasn't around at the event. He then decided to blast the Republican frontrunner in what seems to be his farewell words to the business mogul.
"I am a little hurt he's not here tonight. We had so much fun the last time. And it is surprising - you have a room full of reporters, celebrities, cameras. And he says no," Obama said.

Aside from his attacks on the businessman, the president also made the audience laugh and joked about the rumors about who will win the 2016 presidential race. "It's anyone's guess who she will be," he said.
Finally, he made a striking exit that wrapped up his stay at the White House. He first said "Obama out," pressed his two fingers unto his lips, and dropped the mic. His fashionable exit was followed by performances by various entertainers.
According to NBC News, the list included Oscar winners Helen Mirren and Jared Leto, as well as Will Smith, Rachel McAdams, Bryan Cranston, and Tom Hiddleston. Comedian Larry Wilmore also threw off a series of jokes that received mixed reactions from the audience.
Meanwhile, the afterparty hosted by MSNBC drew the attention of social media users as Fox News correspondent Jesse Watters and Huff Post's Washington bureau chief Ryan Grim had a brief brawl.
The Washington Post reports that several witnesses said Grim started filming Watters, seemingly responding to the latter's similar act back in 2009. Watters is known as an "ambush journalist" and seven years ago, he confronted Grim with cameras.
Grim finally had the chance to redeem himself on the early hours of Sunday as he also ambushed Watters. The "O'Reilly Factor" correspondent didn't like it and snatched the phone from Grim, who immediately tried to retrieve the phone.
While there were no other people hurt during the encounter, witnesses said the two bumped into some guests and a table was up-turned. One source said, "Punches were definitely thrown."
Bystanders separated the two before any massive damage was done and when Grim was asked for a comment regarding the issue, he said, "Ambush guy can't take getting ambushed. Maybe he should think about his life choices."
