Who Is the Asian Man Dragged Off United Airlines Plane?
Online outrage is now being directed at United Airlines as the video of a passenger being violently removed from a United Airlines flight has gone viral today. Who could this passenger be, having been described to be an Asian man who claimed to be a doctor, and why was he physically forced by the airline out of his paid flight?
The incident was recorded in the cabin of United Airlines flight 3411 from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport last Sunday, April 9, as passengers recalled how security guards used physical force to remove a yet unnamed man from the flight. A video recorded by one of the passengers onboard shows the officers pulling the man out of the plane seat and dragging him by the arms down the aisle of the cabin.
The identity of the man who was violently removed from the flight was not yet released by the airline or the media as of this time, but by the accounts of fellow passengers on board when the incident occurred, the person was an Asian man who has another person with him who was presumably his wife. According to some accounts posted by concerned passengers online, the man claimed to be a doctor who needed to see his patients the next day.
The name of the man who has been apparently injured by security personnel before being dragged out of the plane is yet unknown. One thing that can be confirmed, however, is that he was a passenger who had a valid ticket and thus entitled to his flight seat, same as the other passengers on the plane.
A leaked email supposedly revealed that four passengers were removed from the flight to make way for seating for its airline staff, according to The Independent.
