'Will & Grace' Season 9 Spoilers: Karen Loses a Close Friend
The upcoming episode of "Will & Grace" season 9 will see Karen (Megan Mullally) going through a personal tragedy.
The synopsis of the next episode, titled "Rosario's Quinceanera," states that Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), and Jack (Sean Hayes) will all be there to support Karen in her time of need. It remains to be seen, though, what the tragedy is exactly. But, both Will and Grace will also have other problems to deal with when their professional relationship starts to go south.
A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with Karen, Will, and Grace at the hospital, waiting. A doctor then comes up to Karen and asks to speak with her. Jack is seen in shock as Will and Grace hold hands. The final scene shows Will hugging Karen in an attempt to comfort her, but she mistakes it as him making a move and calls him a pervert.
Based on the trailer, it looks like someone close to Karen will pass away. And, since the episode is titled "Rosario's Quinceanera," it could be Rosario, who was played by Shelley Morrison in the original run of the series. As previously reported, Morrison is not returning to reprise her role, having already chosen to retire from acting. Given that, it is possible that the show is killing off her character.
Rosario is one of the most beloved characters in the series, and fans are keeping their fingers crossed that she will not die. However, some have already assumed the worst and voiced out their distress in the comments section.
In the previous episode, titled "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Crying," Will found himself feeling empty after achieving the feat of becoming a senior partner at his firm. Desperate to find a new purpose, he partnered up with Grace when she is given the huge task of decorating for a hotelier.
"Will & Grace" season 9 airs Thursdays, at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
