Willow Says She's 'Into Numerology' Ready To Share 'Consciousness' With New Music
Willow Smith,13, is revealing that she is studying numerology, which was the influence of her latest song, "8."
Willow, the singer and actress daughter of entertainers Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has released her music and videos over the past few years. Her latest release is called "8" which is a single from Kitty Cash's latest mixtape.
However, Willow is revealing that the music is more than a song, but a glimpse of a new phase she is going through which she is attempting to introduce to the world.
"I've been really into numerology lately because a lot of numbers have been following me and my friends," Willow told MTV News. "I've been coming into this new phase in my life, just becoming one with all that is, going deeper into myself and getting to the goal of my music, which is to share that feeling and pass on knowledge so that consciousness can be raised on this planet."
While she has enough music to create an album, Willow recently told Teen Vogue why she was not ready to do that just yet.
"I have enough songs to make an album, but most of the songs I don't like," she previously told Teen Vogue. "It's going to be something outlandish, something that nobody can imagine, something that comes from me and only me. Something we need right now."
Still, Willow has defended her music in the past. She previously clarified the meaning of her song "Summer Fling" after many questioned if the young star was singing about inappropriate adult concepts.
"It's just a couple months, But we do it anyway / It's only for the summer, But we do it anyway," the young Smith sang in the hook of her song released last year.
The singer appeared on the debut of the "The Queen Latifah Show" where she addressed the meaning behind the record.
"Just for clarity, the word fling means something that's short lived," Smith said while on the talk show last year. "And this song is dedicated to all the kids around the world whose summer is never long enough."
