'Winds Of Winter' Release Date to Be Ready for Early 2017?

After the "Game of Thrones 6" was announced, many fans of author George R.R. Martin thought that he would also make mention of the next book of his literary artwork, "Song of Ice and Fire." However, to the dismay of fans, Martin doused the excitement, saying that the book "Winds of Winter" is far from completion.

Offering his apologies to the fans, Martin posted on his LiveJournal blog that he is yet to finish scribing "Winds of Winter" and that he had already missed his deadline with the publisher. Despite getting the information straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, some fans refused to believe the blog post. Some even suggested that he forge a partnership with another writer so that the book can be finished and provide entertainment to its readers the soonest time possible.

Some weeks ago, it was reported that Neil Gaiman---known for his "Good Omens," "Anansi Boys," and "The Sandman" works--- would join forces with Martin so that their combined literary powers can pave the way for the earlier completion of "Winds of Winter." Nonetheless, as of this writing, no news has confirmed the co-authorship.

Bitbag noted though that in the event that Gaiman decides to co-write "Winds of Winter," there's a possibility for the book to be submitted for publication by the early part of 2017. Parent Herald reported that Gaiman is still to reply to their query on the veracity of the co-authorship report.

Meanwhile, amidst Martin's regret that he was not able to complete "Winds Of Winter" within its timeframe, he can only promise that finishing the anticipated book will top his list of priorities. He assured his fans via his blog post that he will devote more of his time writing the book and will not allow his attention to be diverted by other writing projects until the book is published.
