Already having a taste of the finals last year, the Badgers are hoping that they can make a repeat run in the tournament, and it all begins when they face-off against the Panthers.

Wisconsin may have a different look and have two of their best players already playing in the NBA, but they still have the same mindset and that is to go deep in the tournament and win it all.

Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker were big reasons why they made that run last year but the rest of the veteran core still remain for Wisconsin as they finished third in the Big Ten with a 20-12 record. They were given the seventh seed in the tournament but expect more from them as the season winds down.

They lost their last two games in the league and are looking to bounce back in a big way against Pittsburgh.

On the other hand, the Panthers may have a less than impressive resume as they finished 21-11 and are ninth in the Atlantic Coast, but they still have a chance to get a big upset win over Wisconsin.

They are also struggling as they have only won once in their last four games – a 72-71 win over Syracuse – but are still looking forward to get a good result and keep their run going.

Placed 10th in the tournament, expect a good game between two hungry teams battling for a spot in the second round.
