'Wolverine 3' News: Fan Creates Poster Portraying 'Old Man Logan'
Fans went berserk when Hugh Jackman released his first "One Last Time" teaser that looks into his final days as Wolverine in "Wolverine 3."
The third installment will be the last movie that Jackman will be seen as Wolverine, and while some fans are awaiting news as to which actor will take the crown from him, many of the "Les Mis" actor's fans expressed their grief over the news.
In honor of Jackman's legacy as the amazing Wolverine, a fan-made poster created by Bosslogix was revealed recently, and by the looks of it, "Old Man Logan" will be just as impeccable as fans speculate him to be.
Comic Book reports that many fans expect the movie to be based on the comics story line of "Old Man Logan," wherein the story is set 50 years later. In the comic books, super villains will join hands to eradicate all superheroes and Wolverine is among the few who will survive the attacks. While the story line portrays Wolverine as an old man, his strong-willed spirit remains the same.
Jackman said earlier in his recent interviews that the upcoming movie will be "the best" Wolverine movie there will ever be. Patrick Stewart has also revealed that his Professor Xavier will have a "father-son" relationship with the wolf man.
Meanwhile, writer of "Old Man Logan" Mark Millar told Collider that he sees the movie as an X-Men film that just happens to be focused on Logan and his adventures. Millar noted that he honestly thinks the "continuity stuff is the most boring side" of such movies like "Wolverine," and so he believes that "keeping it simplified and keeping it generally X-Men universe is a smarter thing to do."
As fans await the trailer, spoilers, and other news about the third movie, Jackman is reportedly pushing for a "perfect" script. Slash Film reports that Jackman said he will not be starting production on set until the script turns into the best — one that his fans will remember as it is the last time he will be seen as "Wolverine."
