Woman Accuses Chris Brown of Hitting Her at Las Vegas Hotel
A woman has accused R&B singer Chris Brown of hitting her in an incident at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Based on a report filed on Saturday morning, Chris Brown allegedly hit a woman on her head and took her cellphone after she attempted to take a photo with the singer. The incident, which occurred outside the Palms Casino Resort, is currently being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, according to USA Today.
A press release from the Las Vegas police says the woman sustained minor injuries from the "battery" and the hotel security escorted the accuser out of the venue. She later came back to the same hotel to detail the incident to the hotel security.
The detectives were unable to speak with Brown in his hotel room because they were not allowed to enter. The R&B singer had reportedly left already even before the officers arrived, Fox News reports.
Brown, on the other hand, denied the latest battery allegations against him via a statement on Instagram. On Saturday, he posted a message threatening to file lawsuits against people who "keep lying." He also said he will keep his social circle smaller this year, the report relays.
The Associated Press (AP) said Brown's publicist Nicole Perna has officially denied the woman's accusations. Perna said the woman was seen out of the hotel after she became disruptive. The publicist explained that the woman waited for Brown at the hallway and that was when she had a meltdown.
"Once she was in the hallway … she had a total meltdown — throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she 'could buy everyone in the hotel' — as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party," Perna told the AP.
In addition, Perna said the whole incident was captured by security cameras at the hotel.
This is not the first time that Chris Brown became involved in a battery case. In 2009, he was charged with felony assault for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna. In 2013, the R&B singer was also charged with misdemeanor assault after hitting a man who interfered with his photo op with two women.
