Wonder Girls Alum Yeeun 2017 News: Singer Talks About Future After Group's Disbandment, Hangs Out With Joe Jonas

Park Yeeun is now paving her own path following the disbandment of the Wonder Girls. The singer and songwriter was a member of the popular South Korean girl group from its beginnings in 2008 up until its final days in 2017. Now, Yeeun is speaking about the group's decision to part ways, as well as her excitement for what the future has in store for her.

In an interview with Star1, as reported by Soompi, the Wonder Girls alum revealed that though the group disbanded, there are no ill feelings toward the other former members — Yubin, Sunmi, Hyerim, Sohee and Sunye.

"We chose to [disband] because we really cared for one another and were looking out for each other. More than being sad, I'm more excited for what is to come," she explained. "I'm excited for what the members and I will achieve in the future."

Since leaving her agency, JYP Entertainment, Yeeun has yet to find a new home. Nevertheless, Yeeun continues to be active in the entertainment industry. In her first project since leaving the Wonder Girls, the singer has joined a new variety program from MBC Every1.

Yeeun is a cast member of "Cross Country" along with two other singers — SPICA's Bohyung and Suran — and "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actress Kang Han Na. The program features the girls driving through California on a musical journey as they communicate with local artists and at the same time, get to know more about themselves through music and travel.

The former Wonder Girls member even contributed to the show's original soundtrack with the song "Thru the sky," which was released under her stage name Ha:tfelt. The song is said to embody Yeeun's insights into their road trip.

In other news, Yeeun has been hanging out with Joe Jonas, who is currently in South Korea. Jonas' band DNCE had a concert at the Yes 24 Live Hall in Seoul on Wednesday, March 22. To recall, the Wonder Girls served as the opening act for the Jonas Brothers' world tour back in 2009.
