Woody and Bo Peep find love in 'Toy Story 4', Trixie returns
There have been some exciting developments for "Toy Story 4" over the weekend. These are sure to raise your expectations sky-high. The first development is that "Toy Story 4" will involve a sweet love story between the dashing sheriff, Woody, and Bo Peep. The second is that Toy Story favorite, Trixie, will be back.
Directed by John Lasseter and Josh Cooley, this love story has been inspired by Lasseter's wife's story. "I've been very inspired by my wife Nancy's story in her life before I met her," says Lasseter according to a GamesRadar article. "It's an incredible story, and it's been sort of a bit of an inspiration for this."
"As we were looking around we came up with this idea because Bo Peep was not in Toy Story 3", explains Lasseter in the same article, "and it actually worked beautifully into this. So Woody and Buzz Lightyear go out to find Bo Peep and bring her back, and it's a very special and emotional love story. But it's extremely funny too."
In this latest installment of Toy Story, the creators blended together the well-loved characters, their stories, and the element of Woody's pursuit to find his beloved Bo Peep. Woody is aided in his quest by Buzz Lightyear, his very loyal and trusthworthy friend.
The Toy Story movies have always stood out simply because they are too adorable. With Trixie's return, moviegoers can assume that some of the other favourite characters might return too.
Kristen Schaal, who will be donning the character of Mary Ellen in "A Walk In The Woods", was the first to confirm that she's returning to "Toy Story 4". But is she returning as the voice of Trixie?
Schaal acknowledged that she was going to be part of the movie. In a CinemaBlend interview, she said, "Yeah, Trixie is going to be returning … I have no details at all. They just told me I was back and I was thrilled."
Other actors like Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles are expected to confirm their own participation in this latest Toy Story franchise.
"Toy Story 4" will start showing in US theaters on June 16, 2017 and UK theaters on July 14, 2017.
