'World of Warcraft' News: 'Feast of Winter Veil' Event Now Live, Will Remain Active Until Jan. 2

Learn more about the other events that will go live inside the game this month

Holiday celebrations are not limited to the real world, as even inside the game "World of Warcraft," players can take part in an event that involves snow globes, a grinch-like character and the collection of festive hats.

As part of the "Feast of Winter Veil," players can try out all kinds of activities to get themselves in the holiday spirit.

First off, if players just want to step into a virtual winter wonderland, they can pay a visit to one of the giant snow globes added to the in-game world for the duration of the feast. Those who want to see these giant snow globes for themselves can go to one of three different locations – the Broken Isles in Dalaran, the area outside the Ironforge Bank, and in a spot in Orgrimmar that looks out on the Valley of Wisdom – and then step inside them just for fun.

Developers also noted that the Abominable Greench is currently present inside "World of Warcraft." Players can take on the "You're a Mean One..." quest in search of the Greench, though they have to be at level 60 and up before they can do so.

One more thing that "World of Warcraft" players can do during the "Feast of Winter Veil" is to collect the Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Hat and/or the Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Hat. They will have to defeat some powerful foes if they want those hats, so they will have to come prepared.

The "Feast of Winter Veil" will remain active inside the game until Jan. 2.

In addition to the feast, other events that will go live inside the game this month include the "Mists of Pandaria Timewalking" event, the "Warsong Scramble," the world quest bonus event as well as the "Fireworks Celebration" that will begin on the last day of the year.

More news about other events coming to "World of Warcraft" should be made available in the near future.
