Wrestlemania 30 2014 Date, NBC TV Details: Showcases Hulk Hogan, John Cena, and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
WWE's Wrestlemania 30 premiered Aug. 3 on NBC at 7 p.m. EDT and brought about the return of WWE's greatest superstars such as Hulk Hogan, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The show also brought about the highly anticipated matches between John Cena and Bray Wyatt as well as Undertaker defending his undefeated Wrestlemania streak against Brock Lesnar.
WWE had done Wrestlemania previously earlier this year but only on pay-per-view. The earlier Wrestlemania 30 sold-out the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans with over 75,000 fans watching.
The event had grossed $10.9 million and broke the record for the Superdome's highest grossing entertainment event. It was broadcast in 100 countries and in 20 languages, as well as reaching a record one million views in household and WWE Network pay-per-view combined.
The Rock returned to the ring in Wrestlemania 30 after starring in "Hercules," which is in its third weekend at the box office. He paid a tribute to Austin and to Hulk Hogan as well.
However, many fans were disappointed with WWE for not showing any footage of Daniel Bryan. Bryan left the week after he won the title for his wedding and honeymoon. He hasn't returned because he had to cope with the sudden passing of his father and then a string of injuries.
