'WrestleMania 33' Rumors: Bray Wyatt-Randy Orton Clash for WWE Championship Looks Locked in for Upcoming Event

Wyatt-Orton bout expected to be one of the main event matches of 'WrestleMania 33'

After Bray Wyatt emerged victorious at the "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view event, securing his first ever WWE Championship in the process, the attention quickly turned to "WrestleMania 33" and his seemingly inevitable clash with 2017 Royal Rumble match winner Randy Orton.

The WWE isn't guaranteeing that just yet, however, teasing over on their official website that there may still be things that can happen in the lead up to the match that could potentially derail it.

Wyatt is already expected to face the first challenger to his reign as he and former champion John Cena are set to fight for the title.

Still, all of this just seems like the WWE trying to make it appear that there are still things that need to be settled, even though no other match makes as much sense for "WrestleMania" than the aforementioned Wyatt-Orton match.

As Bleacher Report pointed out, the substantial storylines ready to be explored by going forward with this match are simply too many to ignore.

On top of that, it would seem needless to put the WWE Championship on Wyatt now only to take it off him right away ahead of what could be a potentially very intriguing "WrestleMania 33" match.

One more thing to take into consideration is that it may be difficult for the WWE to shoehorn someone else into this feud given where it is.

Luke Harper has history with both Wyatt and Orton, but he's not quite a main event talent just yet. As for Cena, he may end up getting involved in a different feud that will include him, real-life girlfriend Nikki Bella as well as The Miz and Maryse, as was seemingly hinted at by an incident that happened at the "Elimination Chamber," Wrestling Inc reported.

The only thing that can seemingly get in the way of the Wyatt-Orton WWE Championship match taking place at "WrestleMania 33" may be an unfortunate injury, but barring that, it looks like this clash will be one fans can count on seeing.
