WWE 2K15 Characters Revealed, CM Punk Seeking Royalty Payment
WWE 2k15 is about to bring old school and next generation fans of wrestling together as the game has revealed a majority of its roster.
IGN and WWE had a roster reveal panel on Aug. 10 which was moderated by Stone Cold Steve Austin. Wrestling superstars on the panel, including John Cena, Sheamus, Roman Reigns and others, shared how they got involved in the game and also some stories on how they got started, their biggest rivalries and their dream matchups.
Here is the WWE 2k15 roster as it now stands:
Steve Austin, Sheamus, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Sting, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Triple H, Antonio Cesaro, Shawn Michaels, Gold Dust, Dean Ambrose, Dave Batista, Jimmy Uso, Jay Uso, AJ Lee, Big E Langston, Jack Swagger, Tyson Kidd, Darren Young, Rey Mysterio, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Titus O'Neill, The Rock, Seth Rollins, Kofi Kingston, Lance Archer, Justin Gabriel, Randy Orton, Naomi, Daniel Bryan, Xavier Woods, The Miz, Tamina Snuka, Rob Van Dam, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper and The Undertaker.
The game is slated for an October release, however, reports are saying that CM Punk is seeking royalty payment from the WWE, and this could possibly cause a delay in 2K15's release.
It can be recalled that CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, has walked away from the game earlier this year and his contract has already expired. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brooks lawyers penned a "22-page letter to the WWE" to seek royalty payments for using his likeness in the game.
Neither Brooks nor the WWE has released any statement about the wrestler's reason for leaving. Since then, Brooks allegedly made some offensive statements that the WWE deemed was enough reason for them to sue Brooks for breach of contract.
WWE 2k15 is set for release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on Oct. 28.
