'WWE 2K16' excludes the four divas in roster because of 'various reasons'

When game developer 2K Games "WWE 2K16" released last week the final edition of its character roster, it gathered a combination of reactions from fans. While some were delighted and excited to see the usual like John Cena and Brock Lesnar and new ones like Kevin Owens and Finn Balor, others were not too happy about those who didn't make it to the cut, specifically the Four Horsewomen of NXT.

Sasha Banks, Becky, Charlotte and Bayley Lynch are known to have revolutionized women's wrestling in WWE. But according to Bleacher Report, the "key figures in WWE's Divas Revolution" are not included in the action. This has caused a stir, almost an uproar, among fans who wished for more Divas in the roster. And when queries about a DLC containing them surfaced, 2K immediately shut down the suggestion by saying that the four women will not be available for download either in the future.

Luckily enough, 2K had been responding to the fans instead of simply ignoring them. Through their official website, the company said:

" We pushed as hard as we could to include Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley in WWE 2k16, but it simply did not work out for various reasons. While we are not divulging full details on WWE2K16's post-launch plans just yet, we can confirm that the Four Horsewomen will not be available as DLC."

In What Culture's report, the site detailed the mystery of the exclusion of the four women in the game when in fact, the demand for them is so large. Some fans pointed out the inclusion of characters like Eva Maria, Layla, and even two versions of Stephanie McMahon odd. There are also wrestlers included in the final roster that have no connection to the game's feature modes, are not title holders and are not part of the current WWE programming. To simply put it, the four Horsewomen have better profiles than them.

Latinos Post reported that there will be a total of 13 Divas in the 120-character roster in the upcoming game. All of them will be playable. As of the moment, "WWE 2K16" contains the most Divas in the franchise.
