'WWE 2K16' roster news update: Last 23 superstars revealed
The roster for the upcoming video game "WWE 2K16" has finally been completed with the addition of the last 23 superstars, some of which have surprised fans.
WWE 2K16's roster has finally been updated with the last 23 superstars added for the Showcase mode. Surprisingly, there are superstars who have already been dropped from the game, according to the International Business Times.
Based on IGN's report, the final 23 superstars include Baron Corbin, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Brian Pillman, Collin Cassady, Enzo Amore, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Kofi Kingston, Konnor, Mark Henry, and Mikey Whipwreck. The rest of the additions are Ricky Steamboat, Rusev, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Sting 1999, Sting 80's, "Stunning" Steve Austin, "American Bad Ass" Undertaker, Ministry Undertaker, Viktor, and Xavier Woods, Uproxx reports.
Mikey Whipwreck and Savio Vega are by far the most surprising additions to the game because aside from their so-so popularity level, they also clashed with Austin during his earlier years in the wrestling profession. Whipwreck had a feud with him during his final times in ECS, while Savio Vega in the early 1990s.
Brian Pillman, on the other hand, also feuded with Austin during the Attitude Era, although it was a very controversial segment. The late Pillman reportedly shot Austin, but the move was scripted, the report adds.
While the aforementioned characters are a suprising addition to WWE 2K16's roster, the next characters to be discussed are the questionable ones. Steve Austin has "Stunning" and "Stone Cold" character models in the game, and there are also two Undertakers, the report relays.
Both Stephanie McMahon and Vigilante Sting have two versions each, while Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Becky Lynch have been excluded. However, fans will be able to have the "Four Horsewomen" of NXT and other omitted characters when the DLC for the game becomes availble.
WWE 2K16 will be made available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on Oct. 27.
