'WWE 2K18' DLC News, Release Date: Beth Phoenix, Drew McIntyre and More Post-launch Characters Named

After naming the Hardy Boyz as the first downloadable content (DLC) additions coming to "WWE 2K18," developer 2K Games has revealed the rest of the post-launch characters to expect in the title.

As one would expect, the studio puts together a group of legends, fan-favorites, flourishing talents and NXT superstars in the DLC lineup for its latest wrestling game simulation.

The infamous tag team duo Rock'n'Roll Express consisting of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson will be part of the "WWE 2K18" DLC. The two who started their WWE domination in the 1980s were recently inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame.

Reigning NXT champion Drew McIntyre is also joining the fray along with his fellow NXT superstars Aleister Black, Lars Sullivan and Ruby Riot.

Elias, who thrust into the WWE scene on RAW back in April after his three-year run in the company's developmental territory, will also be a "WWE 2K18" DLC character.

The iconic three-time WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix will also be included in the DLC. It could not come at a better time seeing that she, too, was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame early this year. She is the youngest to be bestowed upon such honor at the age of 36.

Fans are extremely excited about Phoenix joining "WWE 2K18" including Smackdown Women's Champion Natalya, who took to Twitter to gush about the news.

Phoenix responded by quipping about adding a new mode in the game, poking fun at a part of the show where superstars tend to just open up and pour their heart out.

These aforementioned WWE superstars are joining the eight-time WCW and WWE tag-team champions Hardy Boyz, who fans have been wanting to see in "WWE 2K18."
