WWE Draft Edition News and Updates: Reigns to Return Before Battleground; Updates and News About the Event
WWE will be holding a draft for the ninth time since 2002 and for the second time it will be slitting its brand. The initial split was from 2002 – 11 and since then WWE has been whole the entire time. For WWE to hold a draft will be a massive change for SmackDown.
Furthermore, the rebranding will be set on July 19, 2016 during SmackDown Live. Instead of the program to be taped, it will now be a live broadcast which will air every Tuesday night on USA Network. This change is a first time in history. What happens will be that WWE programming will be put to five hours for two days on USA Network. With the live broadcast happening, storylines and writing teams will have to keep fans and active viewers engaged in the programs.

On the other hand, Roman Reigns will be returning to Battleground earlier than expected. Reigns went into suspension on June 21, 2016. This was the day after the RAW which was then followed by Money in the Bank that led the way to the triple threat match for the WWE Championship at Battleground. Reigns will be missing all the episodes of Raw and SmackDown since he has been kept to the sidelines up until Thursday.
Reigns Is Back
Reigns will appear on this Saturday's live event show in Wildwood, New Jersey which is already advertised in the official website of WWE. This appearance will let him be back just before the Battleground event.
However, Reigns appearance will most likely to shake any ring rust off before his triple threat match with Rollins and Ambrose at Battleground the following nigh back on television after the suspension.
Reigns and Rollins have been originally called to be the top names on RAW while Cena and AJ Styles were for SmackDown. However, there might be changes with this plan since Reigns had fall out of favor with the WWE management.
Additionally, Reigns will still be considered as the top pick in the draft and pushed as the top star, but it will be not the same as he projected himself to be. Though things will come out clearer after the draft and right after Battleground. By that time, viewers will know who the WWE Champion will be and if a second title in an event will be considered in the championship.
