WWE News and Spoilers: Ric Flair Returning as Mentor, Championship Up for Grabs

The WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) industry is buzzing with theories about who may be the new WWE Champion and whether Ric Flair is soon to return, and in what role. Read on for plenty of more information about what lies ahead for the WWE and its millions of fans.

First of all, Daniel Bryan is supposed to give up his WWE title at the next pay-per-view, "Payback." He was given the opportunity to do so on "Monday Night Raw," but refused to cater to co-owner Stephanie McMahon's demands. She threatened his wife, Brie Bella, and gave him until "Payback" to make a decision and turn over the title. If that happens, what is to become of the title and who could hold the belt?

One report suggests that the WWE could wait until the "Money in the Bank" pay-per-view and have a very unique match. Instead of the main event being a ladder match for the opportunity to wrestle for the title, the competitors would vie to get to the top of the ladder and take the belt, thereby becoming the new WWE Champion. A match like that would certainly boost interest in the title and could actually be even more interesting depending on the number of competitors allowed to vie for the title.
