WWE News and Updates: Randy Orton, Seth Rollins to Return on WWE?

Is this a desperate move for the WWE?

WWE has been busy as of late in devising the "New Era," something its executives are calling as a move to place their biggest stars in the biggest stage of wrestling. Most of them are the same stars who carved out their niche in NXT.

But according to multiple reports, the promotion is now leaning towards giving several of their biggest names another stint by next month. They already unveiled John Cena's return to the ring for Raw's Memorial Day edition, and now CEO Vince McMahon is planning to give Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, and Bray Wyatt their comeback stories within a month or so, according to Cleveland.com.

While there always is clamor to bring back previous wrestling stars and those who went for a brief hiatus (in the case of Cena), this move may perhaps be a desperate move by McMahon and the WWE after the promotion suffered a huge blow with a recent string of injuries to some of its stars. Even Mcmahon himself admits to that.

"Creative talent, in terms of our status there, we've had a lot of injuries, even coming into WrestleMania," the WWE chairman said. He added that aside from Rollins, Orton, and Wyatt, there are more than 10 wrestlers who are slated for a return and most of them went out because of injuries.

Both Rollins and Orton took some time off after suffering separate injuries, resulting to lower ratings for one of WWE's main attractions -- RAW. Although emerging stars like AJ Styles and Sami Zayn have been doing their part, the promotion still will look at the return of the more established stars as some form of redemption.

According to Fox Sports, the only problem WWE will face once they return is how to integrate them into the current storyline. There has to be some wrestlers whose roles are going to be revised or perhaps both RAW and Smackdown will get additional hours each week. There also is a possibility that the appearances of the returning stars will be limited for the time-being.
