WWE News: Kurt Angle and Other Possible Returns for Brand Draft

Which Former WWE Superstars will return for the draft?

The WWE Brand draft is less than a month away and rumors are running around on which superstars will make a dramatic return for the draft. Here is a look on who are highly speculated and likely to return.

Kurt Angle

The only gold medal-winning Olympian in WWE history has been long rumored to be returning after a long stint with the company's biggest rival, TNA. However, the Olympic hero has stated that his current goal is to stay clean and focus before he can wrestle again.

The good news is that Angle said that he talked to Triple H about a possible return in the future but he will not be returning for the draft.

Status: Not Returning Yet

Bill Goldberg

Goldberg is the current front man for the latest WWE 2k game. If history says anything, the cover person always returns to the WWE in one form or another. The biggest precedent of this is when Sting graced the cover a few years ago and was wrestling in the WWE a few months later.

While its well documented that Goldberg and Vince McMahon have not seen eye to eye, the draft would be a great way to bring the power house back into the WWE even if it's just temporary.

Status: Very Likely

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar has been off WWE TV since WrestleMania 32 and has been training for UFC 200 on July 9. Considering that he is still under contract with WWE and the draft is on July 19, as long as Lesnar is not injured too badly, he should be able to return to the WWE.

Status: Likely

Steve Richards

Not every star that could return has to be a main carder. The 47-year old Richards was once a main heel of the WWE during the vaunted Attitude Era. Considering he is also an ECW original who always gets a reaction from the crowd whenever he appears in a WWE ring.

Richards would be a good addition to the mid-card as a veteran he could help mold up and coming superstars with their in ring abilities as well as their storylines.

Status: Possible

Damien Sandow

Damien Sandow's initial run in the WWE ended much too soon earlier this year. Unfortunately Sandow suffered from a case of WWE creative does not have anything for him.

The good thing is that now there are two full rosters to fill and Sandow could easily be re-hired by the WWE as he is a good worker and is also very good on the microphone. And as this time as The Miz's stuntman proved Sandow is also very much over with the crowd.
