WWE 'Night of Champions' update: Sting opens up about injury, fan who interrupted match arrested
Another wrestling match has ended but last Sunday's events are still the talk of the town among WWE fans. The "Night of Champions" was nothing short of exhilarating, dramatic and especially painful. And that's twice the pain for wrestler Sting who suffered a frightening injury following a turnbuckle bomb during his match with Seth Rollins.
According to Complex, fans have been wondering about the real deal of his health and whether or not he will be competing again. Sting gave his update through an interview with WWE wherein he recounted his feeling after the turnbuckle bomb.
"I had tingling, numbness down both arms, all the way to my fingertips," he said. "And then, later in the match, I just fell wrong, whatever it was, and this time [the tingling and numbness] went down both arms and into my legs, and I couldn't feel my legs too well."
He also talked about his diagnosis and said that it was his wife who knows more about his health condition. He said that he may have cervical spinal stenosis. He is still uncertain though if there is anything else. When asked if he will be back in the ring anytime soon, Sting answered that it's a question that he couldn't answer yet. Fans will have to wait and see then if he returns or decides that it was his last match ever.
In other news, someone else took the limelight from the wrestlers during the "Night of Champions." Chron reported that a 37-year old Oscar Ramirez popped out of nowhere in the ring during a six-man tag-team match featuring two members of The Shield and the Wyatt Family. Shield members Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose were planning a mystery third teammate to battle their opponents.
And because they're usually known to come to the ring through the fans dressed in a tactical team clothing, Ramirex decided to do the part. The fan was immediately taken hold by event security and was reported to have been arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Wrestle Zone reported that Ramirez was sentenced to 10 days in jail.
