WWE Raw News, Schedule and Update: Brock Lesnar Ready Against Randy Orton for SummerSlam; Preview, TV Bookings and Ticket Prices
Brock Lesnar is back in the SummerSlam event and will go toe-to-toe against Randy Orton in a pay-per-view event slated on August 21.
"The Beast" and "The Apex Predator" have not traded blows against each other in a decade and a half despite both being on-and-off main eventers. The duo even trained shoulder-to-shoulder during the early stages of their respective careers in Ohio Valley Wrestling. The only time that Lesnar and Orton have competed against each other was back in September 2002 and "the Beast" emerged victorious after a gruesome battle.
Apparently, Lesnar's two failed drug tests during a UFC match against Mark Hunt is not sufficient to let WWE fans down. WWE ruled that Lesnar will indeed make an appearance at the upcoming PPV citing that he is not a full-time WWE performer, and therefore not subject under the company's policies restricting performance-enhancing drugs.
Comparatibly, Lesnar and Orton have styles of their own and a great hyping material for WWE after its brand split. Fans can look up to how fourteen years can make two novices into first class squared ring superstars.
Lesnar is no longer the young star blossoming into the midst of his first heavyweight title but evolved into a beast that knows nothing except throwing his opponent around the ring with a variety of suplexes. In addition, he is not concerned with flashy or theatrical moves but simply a rampaging bull in the ring that has only destruction in mind.
Orton, on the other hand, is an intelligent fighter with proven ability to escape potential problems like a "snake" and maneuver into surprising wins. Now paired against straightforward juggernaut like Lesnar, Orton can capitalize the open assaults to devastate the "beast."
Probably the best asset that Orton can bring into the ring is his tough skin. The future Hall of Famer have displayed many times over that he can endure harsh punishments like being studded with thumbtacks in a fight against Mick Foley, a beating from John Cena inside the Cell, among others.
So for fans who want to know how to catch the action for this much anticipated pairing, WWE SummerSlam will be shown on Sky Sports Box Office (channel 491) AND Sky Sports HD Box Office (492) at midnight on Sunday, August 21 (Monday morning).
Also, watch out for the WWE SummerSlam repeat on Sky Sports Box Office (channel 491) BUT NOT Sky Sports HD Box Office (492) between 10 a.m. on Monday, August 22 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24.
