WWE Rumors 2016: Jeff Hardy Return Depends on The Undertaker; Potential Hardy Boyz Reunion?
In WWE, high-flyers are always welcome to grace the mat, or the ropes for that matter. Their ability to soar from the top turnbuckle or a scaffolding, or do suicide dives over the ropes are met with loud pops from the crowd.
If one superstar should embody the character of a high-flyer, no one could do it better than Jeff Hardy. He utilized the Swanton Bomb as a lethal air strike from the top rope, from the top of a ladder or something even higher.
However, he would be released once due to substance abuse and later leave due to injury, finding his home with brother Matt in TNA. Luckily, it might not be Jeff's last hurrah in WWE.
A Hardy Boyz reunion
The Hardy Boyz had been primed for a return earlier this month, and for good reason. They are dominating TNA and keeping it afloat the past weeks, mostly attributed to Matt Hardy's genius ideas.
Matt repackaged himself as "Broken" Matt Hardy, starting a feud as a crazed character out to "delete" his brother Jeff from the Hardy name, calling the latter "Brother Nero". The feud had been received well by fans and analysts alike. They are currently teamed up as the Broken Legion, battling the Decay en route to the Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
However, both brothers are rumored to leave the TNA and return to WWE. While Matt is reportedly being pursued by Triple H, Jeff Hardy might follow suit when his contract expires in February 2017.
A Hardy Boyz reunion can be a great boost to either brand's tag team division as they are one of the greatest teams in WWE history. They risked their lives in Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches, and even went after each other at one point.
The Deadman
Jeff's return, however, is still in limbo. While he wants to end his career with the company that launched him to superstardom, he stakes his comeback run on the possibility of his dream match vs. none other than The Undertaker - and he wants the match to happen at Hell in a Cell or WrestleMania.
Aside from The Undertaker having numbered days with the company, the McMahon Empire might not exactly give in on this request. WWE is reportedly still shaky on Jeff's history of substance abuse, but more importantly, he wants to work part-time while the company wants him as a full-time wrestler.
Jeff Hardy was a two-time World Heavyweight Champion and one-time WWE Champion. He also held the Tag Team Championship as the other half of the Hardy Boyz.
